I Get To Be "Miss Oregon"

I just found out that I have been asked to represent Oregon in a contest over at Debbie's blog "This is the Life."
This is a photo of the 1st Miss America Margaret Gorman. She was only 5' 2". Can you imagine that? In this time we are living I have never seen a short contestant evveeeeeeer! They simply don't let 'em in. Now here's a case for discrimination. Since this is my one and only chance of being "Miss Oregon," due to my short stature of 5' 2", I'm deeply honored and I will not let you fellow Oregonians down. If you would like to represent your state go visit Debbie and enter the contest!!! She is throwing a party for this event.

Oh Kathi, How fun! I'm glad you're in. I just realized the other day when you were showing photos of your reunion, that you were so petite. You're adorable.

Right now I'm so excited that blogger is letting me comment on your blog, so I will just tell you that i visit you and your sister Sharon, most every day, but for some odd reason, most times when I click to comment on your blog, it won't come up...isn't that crazy? Well you both are such an encouragement to me...I think we have a lot of the same values. I also live in an old home like you (1904). You both are an encouragement to me! I love how you are able to be open and candid about what you are feeling. xo rachel
P.S. My score on the 1930 homemaker quiz was 106! Wow! Who knew! It was fun wasn't it?
