Show and Tell Friday ~ Our Love Story

It's Show and Tell Friday at Kelli's House: http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/ Please visit her blog called There is No Place Like Home.

I'd like to show and tell a very special birthday card I recieved when I was 6 years old. It came from my best friend Stacey, who was a boy who lived down the street from me.
Inside you can see his name writen. This is very special to me because when Stacey grew up he called me on the phone. He also came to see me. He asked me if I remembered him. I said that I sure did remember, and that I still had a birthday card from him as well as a picture of the two of us on the front steps. He said he had a copy of that same picture of the two of us on the steps. Which leads me to show you item number two for my show and tell, our wedding announcement! This the picture of the two of us when we were four and five, which we both saved over the years. We used it for our wedding announcement. On the front it says, Stacey and Kathi; we liked each other then.." When you open up the announcement it shows a picture of the two of us sitting on that same front porch....

...and it states, "We love each other now." We were married in 1983. Stacey is still my best friend. I'm so thankful for him.
"Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." Mark 10:9 I'm so thankful that God brought us together. I love my husband. Have a blessed day ~Kathi

Vintage Western Clock

Today it's show and tell at Kelli's house. Please go to her blog to see all the fun items being shown by blogging friends.
This is a western clock given to us by my husband's parents. I have always loved it. It has no name on it anywhere, but it reminds me of Frankoma. I love the soft colors and gold accents.
This is a photo of my husband's parents, John and Vivian. I believe they purchased the clock around 1955 in a store in Oklahoma, which is where they are from. I love her gloves and coat. That store looks like it would have been a fun one to shop in too. Thanks for letting me share my clock.

Fiesta Ware

Hi it's Show and Tell at Kelli's House. Please go visit her and see all the fun things friends are showing today!

Today I'd like to show you my juice cups. I drank out of these at Grandma's house when I was a child.

This is a picture of my Grandma. She didn't like having her picture taken very often, and would rather show only her left side. She had a stroke at about the age of 55, which left her right side paralyzed, and her face disfigured. She was a kind and patient lady; godly and sweet. Some day I'll see her again and she will have a perfect face; pretty and able to smile at me.
Sometime before Grandma died she asked if I'd like to have something from her home. I felt sad to think about losing her, but she said she wanted to make sure that I got something that meant a lot to me. I mentioned those juice cups and drinking out of them at breakfast time. She was so glad to give them to me. I cherish these and remember her for them. She told me to go up to her attic and get the pitcher that went with them, which I didn't know existed.
I was happy to find out that a pitcher came with the cups, but thrilled for those cute cups. I am happy to have the whole set. I'm glad you could see my Fiesta cups and pitcher. Have a pleasant day ~ Kathi "Lord, You have assigned me my portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure." Psalm 16:5
