We Have So Much To Look Forward To

As it turned out I worked on Mother's Day. This really did not bother me. Really, it did not. My dear children, all four of them were here on Saturday and we had a barbecue together. My husband did the cooking. I have such sweet kids. I am so glad to be their mother. They love me and I love them.
What troubles me are my thoughts. Sometimes they go wild. I get all stressed about corruption and unkind people involved in higher places; government and the like. I finally said, "Lord, it does not matter how evil and corrupt this world is and how different it is than when I was a child. I must not focus on that. I must focus on You, Jesus, and Your power and Your Word. Revelation 19 reminds me that You are coming back to claim earth. You will rule with justice. I believe you are coming and I believe You will not allow evil or anything bad in Your kingdom. Thank you for giving me so much peace about the serious problems in our country and our world. You have given me hope that You will truly come and You will put an end to sin and sorrow. We will have You as our Lord and King. Amen." Then, I went about my day with joy in my heart and a spring in my step. Work went so fast. I smiled so many times today.

~ A fitting Scripture from the Bible will accompany each post. ~

"I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice He judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that only He knows Himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of His mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh is written:
"KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."
 Revelation 19:11-16

This is what I thought about and marveled about today in my heart, that this Jesus, the one who came the first time as a helpless little baby, like a lamb, the Lamb of God, and died and rose again for my sin, will be coming again, a second time. Only this time, He will be coming as the Lion of Judah to claim this earth as His and all those who know and love Him will be with Him. This brought me such sweet comfort today. I laid aside those fears and woes of the lying and corruption going on in our country, knowing that Jesus is coming for me. He will make all things right. Praise His Holy Name. I will not fret. I will trust!

  Blessings, Kathi
