Snail Mail

Snail Mail seems to be a thing of the past. When I was a young lady I might get two or three of these lovely letters from friends and relatives. To get a pretty envelope in my mailbox from someone who actually knows me and cares about me is such a thrill! In fact it happens so seldom that I am overjoyed when it does happen!

I

Molly is such a friend. In fact she was a friend that God gave me on the first scary day of my junior year in high school, after a desperate plea to Him. I prayed that God would give me a friend because mine had moved away. The first day off class, first period, there was Molly with her blonde wavy hair and a warm smile for me. She was new from Beaverton, and she wanted to be my friend. God answers prayer!

Back to letters--  Molly is the one who once told me, "The best gift you can give is one you would like to receive yourself." Molly is one of the recipients receiving one of my fetching home-made envelopes and cards of monthly good cheer. Here's to "Happy April," oh, and I must thank Kim, for the idea. Thank you Kim for showing me the small joy of a single little card that arrives each month, just to say that, "I am loved and prayed for and thought about."

~ A fitting Scripture from the Bible will accompany each post. ~

"Then Huram, King of Tyre, answered in a letter to Solomon: 'Because the Lord loves His people, He has made you king over them."
2 Chronicles 2:11

  Blessings, Kathi

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love sending cards and receiving them. I'm with you it does seem like a thing of the past, and that's so sad. But I have to tell you one of our granddaughters writes to us a lot and we answer her back. It's so nice to receive her letters.

I too enjoy getting snail mail. Don't get much now a days so it is special when you open up the mailbox and there's a letter or card. :)
