It's Fun to Be A Girl

It is so much fun to be a girl! I love dressing nicely with frilly, sparkly and fun things.
I just love my Kathy Van Zeeland purse, which my dear sister Sharon, told me to get for $4 dollars at a thrift store.
I love my jacket on sale at Penney's before Christmas.
I adore these pink ballet shoes with the jewels, $17 dollars Forever 21 before Christmas. I used to wear only black shoes, which meant one black flat, one black heel, one black boot, and have one pair of tennis shoes for recreation. I'm realizing it is fun and stylish to get out of my comfort zone and try new colors.
Sharon, also talked me into buying these corduroy green pants, for $4 dollars at a thrift store. They fit perfectly. I love trying new things and using good sense on a budget. Thanks Sharon. I love shopping with you. I do think that when I shop at thrift stores and garage sales I am being careful with money, plus I get to have more fun being a girl!
Blessings, Kathi

I absolutely love the purse and shoes. I haven't worn a pair of corduroys in years.

Very cute outfit. My girls love Forever 21 and I've been in there many times. You made some very wise purchases that look really good on you but even better you got to spend time with Sharon. I always wanted that kind of closeness with a sister (I have six of them but none that close).

Also, I agree with your comment on my blog about the primaries :)

I have a hard time branching out into color--I guess it is a confidence thing? I have a youtube place I like to visit that shows older women (like in their 90's!) who dress with lots of color--it gives encouragement to be creative in dress.

I love your outfit! You look so cute. I'm so glad you are having fun with color! It is very wise to stretch your dollar by bargain shopping and thrift store shopping. But by looking at you, I would have no idea that you got everything so cheap!

Love you sister!
Shar

the channel on youtube is: http://www.youtube.com/user/AdvancedStyleVideos

you can probably just put AdvancedStyle or AdvancedStyleVideos into the youtube search if my link above doesn't work for you. The old people he interviews are a hoot--and it is fun to see how they dress! EVen my hubby enjoyed them!

You are just the prettiest thing! Your outfit is so cute and stylish, and bargain conscious ...love that! And what fun to shop with your sister. I don't have one, and I've always been a little envious of the closeness many share. Cherish those moments! :)
