We begin getting our gardens ready around mid April. Today we toiled the soil and planted seed. We planted potatoes, onions, radishes and peas today. At the end of May we can add beans and corn. In June we can plant our tomato, pepper, eggplant, kiwi, and artichoke plants.
Garrett found some worms for fishing.
Harrison, Victoria and Nikki preparing to plant seed potatoes.
Jessica and Victoria helping to stake the rows.
Victoria and Stacey enjoying their work.
Jessica planting onions.
Stacey is pointing for me to get to work. Ha ha. Nikki pulling weeds out of the herb garden. I'm so glad Harrison's girlfriend Nikki does most everything our family does. She's a great help and a joy to have around.
Now that it is warmer, we've moved the chickens outside. They seem quite happy. Time for us to have some Kool-aid.
“They heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day..." Genesis 3:8 I love gardens and I love this Scripture, because it makes a picture for me of God enjoying His garden. Someday we will be with the Lord again walking and talking in paradise.

Your garden looks so beautiful. It is so fun to see the kids plant and take care of it. I know Mary really enjoys seeing things grow!
