We have a few fun traditions. One of them is waiting a couple weeks into January and shopping for bargains. Most stores are doing their inventory and would like to have as little stock as possible; thus, the SALE!!!! On this trip it's my two daughters, Victoria and Jessica and me. Like Betty and Wilma we shout, "Charge..it!" No, just kidding. We paid cash for everything.
My daughter Jessica is always looking for a good deal. She is so funny sporting this Russian hat.
We love The Bath & Body Shop.
Believe it or not, Macy's $5.00 each.
Jessica and Harrison's girlfriend Nikki, went with me on this other trip. Here they are looking for a little "bling," jewelry, for those who have not heard that word before.
More "bling."
I found the olive green turtle neck at a thrift store for $2.00, and the pretty green sweater vest at Ross Dress For Less, for $7.00 dollars.
Jessica wearing her new tights and cute sweater dress $10 dollars Ross Dress For Less.
Nikki wearing her new red top, tights and boots for grand total of $28, and me wearing my navy sweater and navy striped cardigan; the two pieces for $17 dollars total from Wet Seal. The most sincere form of flattery for me as a mother is when my daughters ask if they can borrow my clothes. Victoria looks so cute in this outfit and she wears a tiny belt with it, whereas I wear a larger belt and cinch it up high across my ribs. It just looks better for my thicker waist that way (8 inches thicker than hers).
Most of all the best part of this tradition is the experience of being with my two daughters and with Nikki; the joy and fun we share, just being together, laughing, shopping and eating out. I love this tradition.
"My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip or to be moved; He Who keeps you will not slumber." Psalm 121:2-3

Good Morning Kathi, Oh this was so much fun to read, as it once again brought back so many wonderful shopping memories. You girls look like you were having so much fun, and I love the bargains too.
I also read of your Christmas trip, and that was a fun read too, What a happy family you have, it shows on their faces.
Hugs,
Sue
How fun, finding super bargains & spending time with your daughters!

Shopping with your girls, that sounds like so much fun. You guys got some really cute and reasonable deals!
What a fun tradition! When my oldest daughter was 10 my mother died. I asked her what she'd remember about me when I was gone after we'd talked about some memories we had of of my mother. She got a really serious look on her face and then said, "check the clearance racks first, and never pay full price." We've laughed about that so much through the years bz it's just exactly how I am!
I swear your girls get more beautiful every day too.
All I can say is WOW! Fabulous finds and everything looks wonderful on each of you. hugs, Linda
