On a warm summer evening in September our neighbors Norm and Sharla came for a casual dinner. We realized that we both had just celebrated our wedding anniversaries.
So we celebrated again with them. Stacey and I have been married 27 years, and Norm and Sharla have been married 35 years; not very common these days. God has blessed both our marriages. We had appetizers on the porch and steak dinner inside on the table.
We served steaks from our own cattle, chive potatoes, green salad and bread. I made an apple pie for dessert. I used a quilt for the table cloth and we ate off our wedding dishes. 27 years ago a husband and wife sang a song about this Bible verse at our wedding --
"Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. 17 Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me." Ruth 1:16-17

Even my 13 years is almost unheard of these days.
