The 10 O'clock Rule ~ Dinner Plans Ready by 10 A.M.

My friend Lynette told me about the 10 o'clock rule: "Know what you are having for dinner by 10:00 am." This helped me so much. Tonight we are having shrimp stir-fry and rice.
I know many of you women have it all together and have every meal planned for this week and maybe every meal planned for the month. I applaud you and pat you on the back, but for those who don't know, I hope this little tip helps. Have a wonderful day. Love, Kathi
"Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat ' or 'What will we drink ' or 'What will we wear for clothing ' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things." 2 Corinthians 9:8

Hi Kathi,
This is such a great tip, I can handle knowing by ten A.M.,but this thing of planning one week in advance is just not me, I live with this very spontaneous hubby, and love him so much for that!! If he comes in and says lets go get a burger I am up and running. lol
I have been looking over your blog, and I must say what I see is wonderful, I hope I am not to forward in what I am about to say. But I think you have found your calling , and that is to help women in creating, loving and God centered homes.
Your honesty and forth rightness lets them know that there is no perfect home or perfect person. Life is real! People are searching for that now, May the Lord bless and keep you. I am truly blessed.

That's excellent advice! I always feel so organized when I know what we're having for dinner early and I'm on top of it. I sure hope to see you this afternoon, it will be fun.

Love you sister dear!

Oh I wish I always did that. You need not worry that I am one who has it all planned out...um...I don't. Is that bad? LOL!

Kathi, what a great tip! Too bad I don't have any kids home to cook for anymore. It's now just me and hubby and sometimes it's just easier to eat out!

Glad to hear from you. I didn't realize you were back to blogging.

Hi Kathi!
OK, usually I'm pretty good about having my plan of "what's for dinner" planned out since I freeze so much. If I don't thaw, we don't eat. hehe Funny thing, it's after 4 right now and I don't have a plan. oops! I better go and get creative. :o)

Wow...I've been a wife and mother for a looong time and some days I have no idea what I'm going to serve until it's just about dinner time! Thank goodness my microwave can thaw things fast...guess I need to be more organized in that department.

Hugs,
Robin

I definitely try to do this as much as possible, and try to plan at least one week in advance. It saves lots of running around frantically at 5 p.m. searchin' for supper! :)
