Pictures of Our 25th Anniversary Trip

Here are the promised pictures of our 25th wedding anniversary trip.
We stopped along the way at this charming winery.
I fell in love with this lovely piece. I'd love to decorate like that.
This is another view of the tasting room.
This town is adorable.

We stopped at this wonderful restaurant.
This is lemon-ade and iced tea mixed. It was so good. I have never had the two mixed before.
I ordered the Cobb salad.
The waitress took our picture.......for the blog you know.
Stacey ordered the Ruben sandwich and German potato salad. I've got to get that recipe.
After lunch we drove to the little town of Lafayette. We went to the fun Lafayette School House, which is three floors of antiques. That is an actual slide along the wall. It was the original fire escape for the school. We found something really cool, but I can't show it to you until this Friday on Show and Tell at Kelli's House. If you want to see it please come back and I'll have it up to show. Back in McMinnville we stopped in to drop off our luggage at our inn. This is our adorable bed and breakfast called The Steiger Haus Inn. We fell in love with it.
This little sitting area was right outside our room. The room itself was long and quite roomy. It widens out where the sitting area is.
The bed and furnishings were comfortable and nice. The room had a sitting area and a fireplace.
It was very relaxing and pretty. It also had a full bathroom.
This was another sitting area right outside our bedroom.

This is looking up from a lovely garden spot. It was very refreshing and quiet here.
I'm so excited. We made reservations for this adorable French restaurant called Bistro Maison.
We will be sitting out here tonight!! I'm so excited. They even have twin Boxer dogs roaming here and there in the courtyard. There names are Bella and Daisy. I'll try to snap a shot of the dogs during dinner.
Now it's time for a little fun shopping. I found this exquisite fabric store called Boersma's Sewing Center. It had every kind of patterned fabric you could imagine. I loved it.
I saw this and it made me drool. I want to make a Christmas afghan this year.
Loved the little button tub and scoop.

Stacey found this very romantic view. He brought me here to show me this gorgeous place again. We came here several years ago for a business dinner with his company. It is Chateau Benoit Winery.
It reminded me of the feeling of being in Europe.
This walk along the terrace is breath-taking. We came for the atmosphere while waiting for our dinner reservations. We just walked around and enjoyed being here. Well, time for dinner...
We are back at our lovely French restaurant. This is the inside. It's so charming. I love the decor, music and fine aroma coming from the kitchen. We will be sitting outside. What a gorgeous perfect evening. The stars are out and it's warm but not hot. The pictures are a bit blurry because I chose to turn the flash off, so I wouldn't bother costumers.
Here is either Bella or Daisy to come over and visit us during dinner.
She is snatching up a morsel off some one's plate.
Here we are having our excellent dinner. It was very good and very romantic. We are so thankful for a wonderful trip to celebrate our 25 years of marriage. God has blessed us these 25 years and we are so thankful to Him for that.
"Rejoice with the wife of your youth." Proverbs 5:18

You were just over the hill from me! I've been to some of the places you mentioned, most notably, the agency that facilitated our adoption had their offices above Boersma's Fabrics!

Next time we want a getaway that is still fairly close I might have to retrace some of your steps.

Congratulations on 25 years! Mostly congratulations that you still love and honor your husband. What a great example to us who have been married less time. Blessings on you both! Tiffany

Happy 25th Anniversary to you both. What a fun trip you took. I looks like you both had a great time. For our son's rehearsal dinner I made an iced tea and lemonade mix, it was a hit.

Wow, what a lovely trip! What a wonderful way to celebrate. I have not been to McMinville since I was a kid. My dad had relatives there and he lived there for a short while before he met and married my mom.
