Fun Day With Victoria

I had a fun mom date with Victoria last week. She just turned 15 this week at camp. I miss her so much. I pray that she is growing closer to the Lord this week and has a wonderful time.
We went to her favorite place first, Taco Time. She wanted to go shopping at several stores too. It's hard to see, but she is wearing a purity ring on her left hand. She wanted one for her 13th birthday. I'm thankful she wants to stay pure until marriage. It has been a long time prayer over all our children that they would.
We often end up at this used book store. She loves to read. She hit the jackpot with this Fox Trot comic book. Victoria also found two Beverly Lewis novels. She got a new pair of shoes, a beach towel for camp and some shorts. We had some great mother/daughter conversation also. I'm thankful for times like these. "Being confident in this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it..." Phil. 1:6 "...And I pray that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment." Phil. 1:9
Have a wonderful day ladies, Kathi

Not sure if I'm more jealous of your date or that your kids get to go to camp.
Our oldest is going for the first time this year.

I think it's wonderful that you make time to spend with your kids one on one. You also made me hungry for tacos. :)

Love Fox Trot! And what a special day you had with your daughter! I need to do more of that one-on-one time with my girls. My husband is great about taking them individually on daddy dates. But with me homeschooling...I am ready for alone time. But I do need that one-on-one that is not school related!

One on one time with our daughters is a priceless gift. They grow up so fast; my daughter just got married last Saturday. Strong relationships with our girls make strong young women. I hope she is having a wonderful time at camp.
