I'm Thankful For My Bible and for Gutenberg

"For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

I'm thankful for what I call "The Most Important Invention," it is the printing press. If Gutenberg had not invented it we could not easily obtain Bibles. I'm truly grateful for his invention, and impressed that the first thing he printed was the Bible.

My favorite part of the day is early morning. The house is quiet, my coffee cup is full, a warm fire kindles softly, and a fat cat sits on my lap. I have my Bible time. I'm doing a Beth Moore Bible study called "A Woman's Heart." It is very good. I'm so thankful for the privilege of not only owning my own Bible, but being able to read it.
"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105
I'm praying for Rosa. She is in West Papua, which is in Indonesia, translating the Bible into the language for the people there.

"Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee." Psalm 119:11

I love the Word of God too and am so thankful that we can freely read it here in America! What a great post and so informative too! I did not know that Gutenberg invented the printing press and that the first thing he printed was the Bible! That is amazing! Thanks for sharing. I also love your pictures of your Bible and coffee....it looks so cozy!
