My first day returning to work, I quickly ducked through the narrow hall, hoping no one would notice the eight pounds gained during quarantine. I mistook the entrance door for a new one. It was shiny and clean as if it had been waxed and buffed. Apparently it had been. With very few customers the staff needed something to do. All surfaces got a thorough going over every hour on the hour. The place was spotless and sanitized. I was delighted to get into the groove with my co-workers again. I pray we are allowed to serve large catering events, to start setting up the tables, and viewing long lines of chatty students again.

Glad to hear things went well on your day back to work.
Those lilacs are beautiful. My grandma had many bushes just outside her living room windows and the smell would be in the house. They always remind me of her!!
