Today for Show & Tell I have Bone Broth to share. I wish that you could not only see how it is made, but that you could taste it and use it yourself for your own recipes.
First, my daughter Jessica and I, split the bones and placed them on the baking sheet.
We set the oven at 450 degrees F. for about 40 minutes.
These pots are nice (above), and we did use them, but the creme de la creme is of course the crock pot (below), which needs no babysitting and we also used. Just set it for 10 plus hours and strain when complete. If you are using stove with pots watch them for two or three hours and add water regularly.
Wash your jars. When they are filled they must be frozen. We are not canning here.
Here we are! The Bone broth is finished, cooled and jars are filled. They must be frozen. We are not canning as I am repeating myself. Now these jars of bone broth may be used for soups, stews, and in place of water for rice or anytime one would use broth. May this be health to you and yours. Enjoy!
~ A fitting Scripture from the Bible will accompany each post. ~
"Elisha returned to Gilgal and there was a famine in that region. While the company of the prophets was meeting with him, he said to his servant, “Put on the large pot and cook some stew for these prophets.”
Blessings, Kathi
