Natural Fertilizer

There are less expensive ways to fertilize gardens.
My daughter, Jessica, looked up ways to naturally fertilize with stinging nettles. We happen to have some growing on our back acreage. Use gloves, as they have that name for their needle-like slivers that do penetrate skin.
Jessica and I spent about a half hour looking for them, and we found only a few which were mixed in with blackberry vines near the creek.  Later we found that ANY weeds will do the trick ~ smile.  What you do is...
Place the weeds in a bucket and cover with water. It is good to put a lid over this, as this will become quite smelly. After three weeks use the liquid with 10 parts water and 1 part weed solution. Sprinkle weekly on vegetable or flower garden. For some reason this is not recommended for roses or for tomatoes. I will tell you my carrots have thrived on it and so have many of my flowers
This blesses me because God can use anything, even weeds (bad things) to encourage growth in our lives as seen in how He uses weeds to fertilize (encourage growth) in plants. Happy gardening to you, my blogging friends.   Blessings, Kathi

“I passed by the field of the sluggard and by the

vineyard of the man lacking sense. And behold, it

was completely overgrown with thistles; Its

surface was covered with nettles, And its stone

wall was broken down.” Proverbs 24:30-32

Love this! Love your analogy! Yes, lets use the weeds in our life to cultivate our growth in the Lord!
