My Favorite Romantic Restaurant

My favorite restaurant for a romantic dinner, believe it or not, is my own home. Here is why...
When we have eaten out in the past I have said, "I can cook this, even better then they did and if we were home we could be eat in the privacy of our own spot next to the fire."
Our children are older now. They serve us, so we have waiters.
They fix the appetizer and bring it to us. They leave us alone if we want. They also put on romantic music for us.
Our children don't mind taking goofy pictures of us and lighting candles to set the mood.
We just celebrated 32 years of wedded bliss, disillusionment, fun, contentment, stress, bewilderment, reassurance, ups and downs,no children, finally children, buying selling homes, moving, staying put, and trusting each other and trusting the Lord. God has been so good to us. He has honored our commitment. He has blessed us with love and fulfillment.
When we make the decision to eat at home (we do eat out some times), my husband brings home a great dessert, bread, flowers and champagne. I fix the salad and potatoes. He grills steak from our own beef cattle. We look forward to it for days.
After dinner we can go to our own private porch or down by the creek or near the fire-pit. Now you see why my favorite restaurant is my own home. Oh, and the children do the dishes!
                Psalm 37:5
"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him,                and he will act."
Blessings, Kathi

I had a lot of catching up to do with your blog! :) What a wonderful idea! Your meal looks divine, and you can't beat the comfort of home... and someone else doing the dishes! :) ~Rhonda
