There once was a smug and militant carnivore who needed his beef cut up. Instead of going to one of the local beef butchers to have his steaks cut up he forced a local vegetarian to use her vegetable slicers, peelers and new knives to do the chopping. He created a law suit against her, which went all the way to the Supreme Court, for being prejudice against him for being a carnivore. He won the case and a new law was in place that all vegetarians must cut up meat when a carnivore comes to their place of business. What about her deeply held convictions do they count? She did not hate this meat eater. She was not prejudice against him at all. Her stance came completely within. She has a deep love for animals and would never want to harm one or eat one, or ever have to cut one up. She is not evil for believing what she believes.
Clearly the carnivore in this story is a bully. This is just a made up story by me, but this is the kind of trotting about going on right now; all over some people. These people are quiet and hold a different view from certain bullies who behave just as badly as the carnivore; AND NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT. These people being undermined and mocked are kind and good ministers who are asked to perform marriages they do not agree with. They are not prejudiced against these bullies. They do not hate these bullies. They follow what the Bible states about marriage and fear God rather than men, so they do not want to perform these marriages. There are plenty of other ministers in town who will do the job, but the bullies' are going to pick on this one because he won't do what they want. They may even take him to court over it, becuase the minister's viewpoint simply cannot be tolerated.

It was only a matter of time until things like this started to happen and it saddens me to the core. We believe that marriage is between a man and a woman...period. If you would have told me when I was in high school that things like this going on in the world would ever be common place and accepted I absolutely would not have believed you. I guess it just makes it our duty to get involved politically now and make our point count. I definitely will be voting for a people who believe in traditional marriage and the right to life as a key component to my vote. Evil is making a firm stronghold in the world but I truly believe that if we work against it goodness will triumph.

Thanks for being brave enough to post this. I've missed your posts!

Thank you Cindy. I know the time is coming where this will indeed become reality. It is ever increasing with each year. There is an intolerance for Christianity seeping into our society like never before and the Bible promises that this would happen. We need not fear, but rather trust in God to be with us.

Thank you for this post. It is helpful to know others are aware and that we acknowledge what is happening.
