On Christ Alone...

Home from church, had to show you all something.  But first let me tell you, today at church we sang this song:

            In Christ Alone
by Keith Getty & Stuart Townend

"IN CHRIST ALONE my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This Cornerstone... "
So when I got home I just had to run down to our barn and show you something.
Our big barn was built in the year 1881. The orignal huge beams and floor are still intact. The roof and siding have been replaced my metal. I want to show you the cornerstone of this old barn.
Here is the cornerstone. Someone years ago etched into this stone "Jesus is the Cornerstone." I love this. Years of wind, rain and some flooding have warn it to wear it is nearly gone.
I love it that the original builders had it etched into this stone. I hope you are enjoying your wonderful day of rest. I would have printed all of the song, but it is copyrighted. It is a beautiful song.In Christ Alone

by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend

"IN CHRIST ALONE my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This Cornerstone... "
Blessings, Kathi
Jesus is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’
Acts 4:10-12

This is one of my favorite songs! I want it sung at my funeral. Travis Cottrell is friends with our worship minister and came to our church with his band. When we sang this with them I thought I had died and gone to heaven...Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!

I love that the builders would etch that into the cornerstone ~ A beautiful testiment withstanding the elements and time. Just like Jesus our Cornerstone ~ always the same yesterday, today and tomorrow!
We sang the song today in church! It was so perfect with our powerful message given by our youth pastor!
Blessings!
