The Cousins Come For a Visit

My nephews Samuel and Joe came for a few days for a visit. Along with the fun there are lots of chores.
These boys got to learn how to set pipe.
My husband appreciates all the kids' help, and does not hesitate to ask. They are good workers.
Four-wheeler rides are part of the fun he adds after the job is complete.
We had many potatoes to dig, so here we are in the garden.
They certainly worked hard. The potatoes are so pretty.
Jessica shows the boys how French Fries are made.
The car needed a bath, so they helped with that.
It got done in no time.
My husband Stacey, then showed them how to wax it.
My son Harrison took all the kids around the corner to the river for a swim.
They did not go far and I know, what you are going to say, but my dad drove us like this too in the summer time.  They had a blast.
They went to a part of the river that has a tall rope swing and had so much fun together.
The kids and neighbor girl  all had lunch down by our creek the first day.
My sister Kelli and I brought the lunch and enjoyed visiting before she had to leave. I'm so thankful for sister time.
One more four wheeler ride for Garrett, our son, and Joe. I'm so glad my nephews could stay with us. We so many great memories.
Blessings, Kathi

Kathi,

What a wonderful, refreshing post! It reminded me of my own childhood memories (and I'm getting old, lol). I can almost feel the cold water closing over my head as we jumped into the creek.

I cherish those memories and I see that you do too.

God bless you and yours,
Jan

Oh, this brought back such wonderful memories...especially the picture of the kids riding in the back of the old truck! My grandparents had a large working farm when I was growing up, and I LOVED to stay with them and get together with cousins. Grandaddy would ride us to the hog pens on the back of his truck, down a dirt road. When we hit a bump, our feet would touch the road and drag through soft sifting sand! LOVED IT!!!

So glad ya'll were able to have this time together! :) You and your sister resemble each other a lot!

PS---Love that old truck of yours...pretty cool!
