I must apologize that this photo is blurry, but I had to snap this shot. I wish I could freeze time when the kids are doing something fun together like this. Our girls in high school invited Charlee also in high school, over and Shawn, who will be attending college with our son Harrison. All of them were out on the patio while I was watering the pots. They were looking at Face Book together and laughing about stuff. I'm so glad that the girls love school and that Harrison has another friend, Shawn, to rub elbows with in College. I'm so blessed and happy to watch my children thriving.
I turned around and saw Garrett with a flashlight searching for a frog; so cute and so sweet. I want to press the pause button on my life. My sister Sharon, just got through saying this very thing, and I know exactly what she means. These moments with our family are priceless. I'm so thankful.
Blessings, Kathi

If I had a dollar every time , I had thought or said this, I would have enough to buy that vacation home in the mountains. Lovely thoughts, enjoy your day.

That's why blogging has helped me so much with my empty nest syndrome. I take a ton of pictures and talk about what's going on and put it on my blog and then I can remember all of it so much better. God has so much more for you ahead Kathi, it's hard realizing the kids are getting older and one of yours is leaving the nest soon, the first one to leave the nest. Keep taking these pictures of randomness in your home. You will treasure them later!!!
P.S. You should read my blog today, it's all about this and how sad I get. :0(
I know how you feel! I see Mary playing with our puppy or painting a picture and I just love seeing her learn and grow up. It goes so quickly!
Oh I so agree, wouldn't a pause button be so wonderful! Children grow up sooo fast. I try to remember just to sit back & take it all in!
