A Dose of Cheer

With Harrison moved into the dorm, it did me good to go shopping with our daughter Victoria. She needed new shoes and I was feeling kind of blue. While we were out we noticed Clinique having their bonus sale, so we both bought something.
This pretty lady helped Victoria so much with the right skin tone make-up.
We had to stop for a snack. I love spending time with each of my children. This was just what I needed to lift my spirits. Victoria is a joy.  Thank you Lord for meeting each one of our needs, great or small.
Blessings, Kathi "Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge," Psalm 57:1

As par for the course for me Kathi, I am trying to play catch-up on visiting.
I will comment here on your other post, as I always enjoy seeing what you and your dear family have been doing.
The father -son post, was precious, a memory for both that will be tucked away for them to bring out time and time again. A beautiful place

The Mrs Pendleton post was a great read, just that name alone says dignity and grace. I am always amazed at the people God places in our lives other than family that influence us.

I so related to your post today, smiling as I read it, and thinking "been there, done that". I also admire the relationship you have with your children, and know that it doesn't come easy, it takes a lot of work, but the dividends really pay off.
Be blessed today,
Sue

This looks like just what was needed to chase the blues away. It's definitely an adjustment when the kids go off to college.

I absolutely love spending 1 on 1 time with my daughter. Unfortunately it doesn't happen much. Seems we always have the little guy in tow. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with him too but my girlie is growing up & we are becoming friends. It's really nice.

Glad you enjoyed some time out with your girl.

Your daughter is beautiful! Family times are great, but one-on-one time is a precious gift, certainly! What a blessing that ya'll enjoy each other's company! Hope that you are feeling better. :)
