Many Hands Make Light Work

It was a warm Saturday afternoon; warm enough for Garrett to swim in his cousin's pool. I wanted to help my Dad with his yard, so Aunt Kelli watched over Garrett and I helped Dad.
Daddy has a beautiful yard and he's always carefully manicured it. It was often said, that he had the prettiest yard in the neighborhood. Lately he has needed the help of us three sisters and our families to keep it trimmed. I love these old clippers of his. I don't know what it is about them, but I love the big spring and the heaviness of them. The quality in old tools can't be matched to today's products.
I was going to mow the grass, but Dad said that he could do it, and he did. I was glad he was feeling well enough to do this job. I pulled weeds and trimmed where it was needed. Towards the end I moved a section. When I dropped off Garrett at my sister Kelli's house she handed me a beautiful strawberry pie for Daddy.
She made this gorgeous pie and boy was it good.
Now that the yard was finished it was time to pick up a few groceries. Garrett was cheerful and more than willing to help me. I was so happy for his help. The saying is true, "Many hands make light work."
After helping Dad I felt so happy. I think it is true that when you help someone God gives you joy. I love you Dad and Mom. Have a good day. Love, Kathi "...that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us...Ephesians 3:19b-20a

I'm so happy that Daddy had the energy to mow. He looks good in that picture. That pie of Kelli's is fabulous! Wow! It was so nice of you guys to help them! Grayson mowed the grass for them last night and hung the yard swing for Dad. He also gave Dad a ride in his Jeep. I think Grayson got more out going over there and helping than Daddy! I love the pictures of Garrett helping you at the store.

Love you!!! Shar
