Garrett decided to learn baseball this year. We love going to watch his games and to see him learning the sport. He had a lot of apprehension about going because some of the kids told him he was the worst player on the team. He cried a little. We felt so badly for him, but wanted him to keep trying and not to listen to those kids. Many other kids were encouraging to him though.
So many of the kids already knew how to play, so Garrett felt a bit intimidated. His coaches, however, were patient and kind to him. He kept going even though he was a bit insecure. Finally, he hit the ball and got on first base. We cheered and were so excited for him.
Garrett we love you and are so glad you gave it a try. You'll get better and more skilled with time. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9

He looks so cute! I wish I could have gone to one of them, maybe next year. What was the team record? What position did he play?
