Sister Time

I love both my sisters, Kelli and Sharon so much. Whenever we are able to get together it is a treat. On the spur of the moment Sharon and I got 24 hours together. A classmate of our came to town so we met for that and Sharon offered me to stay over for sister time. We decided to go grocery shopping together the next day since we both had to get it done for New Year's Eve.
Sometimes it's just the normal every day things, which we typically do by ourselves, which can become an adventure when done with a dear friend or a sister.
I watched my sister shop and noticed she was both frugal and creative. She knows how to stretch a dollar and yet keep her family happy with interesting choices.
I tried a few new things just by observing her. I forgot all about instant cinnamon buns that you pop into the oven for breakfast, so I got them. Sharon does this often and she buys the off brands. The next morning my family was thrilled. I love the home-made ones, but I simply don't have the time right now.
You can probably tell from both our carts that we bought lots of snacky time food, well, that is mostly because it was New Year's. There really were some veggies, fruits and cheeses tucked into those carts; if you were to dig deep enough you'd find them. We usually have lunch together at one of our favorite places, Taco Time.
Also, on our fun days we stop at thrift stores. I love my sisters and hope Kelli can come with us sometime on one of these fun days. Thank you Sharon for inviting me. I cherish the memories.

Nothing better than a sister as a best friend. Could not do better.

That was such a fun time! As you know I've had trouble with empty nest, but having days like this is the upside to the kids growing up, we have more time for fun times like this!

I love you,

Sharon
