Sheri: A Wonderful Mother

Some of you remember that I shared my friend's story about the loss of both of her children. I wanted to put up her picture again to ask for prayer for her this weekend. Mother's Day is a very hard day for her, obviously, as both her boys are in Heaven and she misses them so much. Thank you dear blogging friends. Also, my sister Kelli and her husband lost their daughter Haley, so I am thinking of Kelli too. I know these mothers who've lost children: Cheryl Bransom, high school friends recently lost children: Cari, Carrie, Peggy and Kathy. Please listen to the beautiful song of worship as you pray for Sheri and these other mothers. Hugs, Kathi

What a very thoughtful thing to do Kathi. Sometimes we forget on holidays about those who are hurting. Thanks for the reminder. I definitely will remember them in my prayers. I hope things are going well for you right now and that you have a most joyous Mother's Day.

Kathi:

I haven't joined Facebook for that very reason. I work on my computer out of my home and don't go near the computer much when I've finished for the day as I just get tired of it being on it. I don't blog too much anymore and when I do those posts may disappear within a short amount of time bz I print it and then delete it as I can afford the ink. I now have five 2" binders full of my blog and family memories that I've put in plastic sheet protectors. Someday when I'm gone the kids can just open a binder and remember more about our family life. I don't keep a journal very well since hand surgery and typing is much easier plus I can add pictures in a blog! It works for me but I'm like you I'd rather be making new memories than typing and recording old ones on a computer. I ran out of ink again though so deleting blogs won't be happening for awhile until I can afford more color ink. I am keeping up certain special blogs like my 9/11 ones and ones that may help someone in the same situation.

Sorry this was an epistle but I just got off work and after typing long documents it's hard to shorten my thoughts into a sentence or two. Happy Mother's Day to you and Stacey's mom.

What a lovely 'gift' for those of us who have lost our little ones. May they enjoy the beauty of being with Jesus, as we hold close our treasured memories of the love we cling to.

Have a lovely Mother's Day weekend.

Hi Kathi! You are truely a blessing. No matter how recent or how long ago it's been that we have lost children, the memories of that time will always be fresh at Mother's Day. It always helps when someone else feels our pain and shares our memories of them. May your Mothers Day be the best ever! Deb
