Sometimes I slow cook a roast over night in my oven, but first I seer it in hot oil.
I then add the Lipton onion soup mix dissolved in two cups of hot water, which is poured over the roast.
Remember all those onions I chopped and froze? I grab a bag and zap it for one minute. Don't 'cha just love my age spots? I had them specially ordered for my hands this Christmas... LOL.
I add this to the top of my roast.
I place a tightly fitting lid on the pot and put in a slow oven of about 250 degrees over night, and wake up in the morning to a wonderful aroma. The beef is perfect for the kids' lunch meat sandwiches or shredded beef tacos for dinner. Have a blessed day Dear Friends. "God is great. God is good. Let us thank Him for our food. Amen."

Reminds me of the olden days when my mother cooked a roast every Sunday.
Stan does not eat beef so I cannot carry on the tradition. I sometimes get so hungry for it. I am drooling at the thought of beef tacos. Enjoy~~
Oh, I bet this has a wonderful flavor and is so tender. Every once in awhile we have soup and sandwiches for dinner and this would be perfect....hugs, Linda
This sounds sooo good!!
I remember reciting the prayer at the end at our church preschool!
Good memories =)
Hi Kathi sweetie, this sounds delicious! Keep an eye out for your baubles sweetie, I posted them last Friday! Wishing you a lovely week ahead dear friend...

Hey Kathi! It was so good to see you at my blog. I have not been blogging much as I have had a lot going on. My turkey was only about 27 lbs. I say only because compared to yours it was small!!! Yes I squished him in the regular sized pan but part of him didn't get done. So we had to cut parts off and cook him some more. I can't believe how big yours was!! I don't think I've ever seen one that big. Did you have a pic?
oops sorry, I was logged in under Aaron's account :-)
That looks so yummy Kathi, I'm going to have to try your version...I always add Lipton onion soup mix to my roasts and everyone loves it.
That sounds delicious Aunt Kathy!! I've made beef for shredded beef tacos before but with a different seasoning. I'm going to have to try the onion soup mix!
One question though...you said slow oven, is that the same thing as a slow cooker??
Love you!
That sounds so yummy! I love things slow cooked.
Yum! That looks delicious! As far as your age spots, they are more like medals that you earned for all the times you used your hands to cook for your family, washed the dishes, gave babies bathes, worked in your garden, washed clothes, clean the bathroom etc. They are medals of honor!!!
