Freezing Rhubarb Today

Good Morning Ladies. I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. I froze a lot of rhubarb this week. Today I get to spend with my girls. We will go shopping all day, which was a birthday request of Jessica. I'm so excited. Enjoy your day and I hope it is sunny where you are. Just so,
"I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance."

Kathi, for the patio lights I just got 18 or 20 gauge wire at Home Depot, cut it and wrapped it around the jar with the help of some needle nose pliers. Very quick and easy chickee. Try it. Save all the glass jars you can and make a lot of them.

xoxo,
Connie

Hi Kathi,
I am just sitting here amazed at your harvest, and just looking at that rich looking soil. No wonder your garden produces such bounty, however the gardener gets some credit too. lol
Please wish Jessica a very Happy Birthday Wish from me. I wanted to also stop by to wish you a most blessed and Happy Mothers Day!!!

Kathi, to answer your questions...we didn't go to church camp. We met through a coworker/friend of mine, who drug me with her to see a boy she was sweet on and Andy happened to be there, at his apartment.

It turned out that my coworker friend, grew up across the street, from Andy. So of course, once she found out we both were interested in each other, she played match maker and invited us over to her house, so we could get to know one another and that's how it all started...

I always loved rhubarb... when I was a kid, I'd grab a bowl of sugar and go out and pick it, rip off the leaf, dip and eat. I didn't know there was any other way to consume it! I got some today at my in laws, thinking about trying your salsa idea, but I might just eat it all with a bowl of sugar. Do you freeze it just for pies or do you use it for anything else?

Happy Mothers day to one who inspires me to be a greater mother all the time! :-)
