First Day Of School ~ Good Day!

First Day of school for our daughter Jessica.
She got her notebook ready. She is very grown up and organized.
We got there early so she could look at the map and find her classes. She was thrilled to find that they had put her in the same classes as her friend from church, Maria.
I'm so thankful Jessica has her friend and that she loves school. When I picked her up she was smiling. God answered so many of my prayers, and has taken my sorrow and fears away.
Our son Garrett's first day of school. He was quite excited. He loves his teacher and loves recess.
When we got home he had big hugs for Daddy.
Our daughter Victoria's first day. She loved it. She already met several friends and looks forward to the year ahead. I am so thankful. God is so good.
I wanted to snap a picture of our son Harrison, but they were hurrying out the door, but I did get this shot. We trust Harrison. He is a good driver.

This was waiting for the kids when they came home from school. I love doing baking things for them. I miss them so much. I love them even more. I have more energy. I WANT to spend MORE time with them. I can't wait until they get home.
"God's favor lasts a life time; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5
Thank you everyone who prayed for me and encouraged me. You are all Dears. I will be visiting all of you throughout the day. I especially want to thank all of you who made such sweet comments to me. I could feel your prayers, they lifted me up. Thank you Michelle at Treasure the Moment for the e-card, you are amazing and thoughtful. Michelle recently found out she has breast cancer. She has gone through about five very difficult things in the last three months. She is a sweetheart. If you have not visited Michelle yet, she is worth getting to know. She is a very kind and lovely friend. Hugs, Kathi

Kathi, you're so sweet to mention me in your post :) You're quite welcome for the card; just wanted you to know you were being thought of and prayed for. Bless you, sweet friend!

Kathi,
I would not be at all suprised if God put something huge on your plate this year in the form of ministry. Good luck in reshaping your identity. Remember that, first and foremost, you are a precious daughter of The King.

My mom always told me when one door closes, another door will open. I'm sorry you have been going through a hard time, but from the looks on your childrens faces, I think a door has opened. I hope you all have a great year.
Hugs,
Judy

Kathi, I tried to leave you a message on the last post, but the computer zonked on me...but I have been thinking of you! So glad the kids had a great day at school! And don't be too hard on yourself. You obviously love your children dearly and had the best intentions in home-schooling them! ...and above all of else of what they did or did not learn while being home-schooled, I'm sure they learned that their mom loved them VERY much, and that you all grew as a family in the process! To everything there is a season! Be thankful for the past one, and look ahead to the blessings God has in store for you as you embark on a new season!

Please stop by my blog if you get a chance and enter my give-away celebrating my 100th post! :) ~Rhonda

Dear Kathi,

I am so very happy that it all worked out! Yea! Praise the Lord! How neat that you are finding out a little silver lining and that is that you have more energy and you are excited to see them when they get home! I am so happy for all of you! I bet the house seems quiet, but you will soon get your new routine and you will be loving it!

I have been praying for Michelle. She is indeed a sweetheart and she has been going through so much. I pray that God will bless her life.

Hugs, Sharon

Hi Kathi!! I am so glad your kids had a great first day!! Mt DD is splitting her time between the high school and school at home and you know my son is 100% schooled at home. They have two completely different personalities and my son is thriving here at home and my daughter thrives more in a social environment. You should be a proud MOM...you gave your kids a wonderful head start and tools for success!
Hugs,
Robin
