So Thankful For Dad
I'm so thankful for my dad and that he has come back from the stroke last year. I couldn't imagine him doing things like this .... He came up for a visit yesterday and wanted to help us like he used to. Mowing can take three hours. Dad wanted to
take a turn helping on the mower like he used to do. We love him and love seeing him, and appreciate his help on the farm. Thank you Dad. We sure loved seeing you yesterday. "God works all things together for good, to them that love God."
Wow! Daddy looks so good and so strong on that mower! I am soooo happy he has recovered so much and we get to still enjoy and love him! A year ago I don't think I would have believed that he could be doing all the things that he is doing today! Praise the Lord!
Are you staying cool? It is hot here! We went to church and afterwords Gray, Hay and I went up to turtle rock and had a picnic lunch and they jumped in. Eric still isn't home yet, but will be soon. Kenz and Brit are coming over for pizza & movie. I cleaned the kitchen, swept, mopped, did laundry, folded clothes, started really cleaning the office and cleaned two toilets today! Now I feel caught up!Did you guys like the movie last night???
Oh, Kathi! I'm so happy to see that your father has recovered and so well! He looks very healthy!
My father, had 2 strokes (consecutively) about 10 years ago. He recovered, as well, but isn't able to do all that he did before -- but he came out of partial paralysis and intensive care! Through so much....
On another note, I just love your header and the other pictures of you and your husband. They are so sweet! How wonderful that you've known your husband since you were young children!!!! You really must share your story!
Wow, your dad is packing some pretty big guns there, Kathi! Glad to hear he's recovered from his stroke. I've been down that road myself and they're no fun. He looks like he keeps himself very fit and looks the picture of health now.

How wonderful that your Dad can come and help with the lawn mowing again after all he's been through. He looks great! I can't imagine a 3 hour lawn mowing job... This time of year, our grass seems like it's grown longer even before the lawn mower is put away. :o) -Karoline
Your Dad looks great, I would never have guessed he had been so ill. And your farm looks beautiful. How nice to have that much space, it is unusual these days. I have caught up on your last couple of posts, I always enjoy stopping by for a visit!
Aren't daddy's wonderful?? You would never know he had been so sick. He looks healthy as a horse:)
What precious time spent. Now that my folks are older I really appreciate every day spent with them. I'm very aware how time is no longer on our side. I am just so glad that they are both believers and even when their time is done on this earth...we will live together for eternity!!
Just wanted to say hi! I'm off today and moving furniture around in the office. It is slow going and I am being so bad and I keep taking blogging breaks! Shame on me!
Your dad looks so fit and strong on that mower, I'd never have guessed that he had had a stroke only last year. Praise the Lord for his recovery! I lost my dad when I was 4 years old and I miss him so much every day. I'm very happy that you have a father whom you love and trust sweetie. Treasure him! Amanda (aka Cottage Contessa)

:) Your lawn reminds me of Kentucky blue grass.
