Vintage Western Clock

Today it's show and tell at Kelli's house. Please go to her blog to see all the fun items being shown by blogging friends.
This is a western clock given to us by my husband's parents. I have always loved it. It has no name on it anywhere, but it reminds me of Frankoma. I love the soft colors and gold accents.
This is a photo of my husband's parents, John and Vivian. I believe they purchased the clock around 1955 in a store in Oklahoma, which is where they are from. I love her gloves and coat. That store looks like it would have been a fun one to shop in too. Thanks for letting me share my clock.

I have always loved that clock Kathi, it is so cool! I am glad that you treasure it. What a great picture of John and Vivan. It looks like Stacey and Kara standing there! I love Vivan's cool coat and gloves, what a pretty woman!

Have a happy day!

I love you! Sharon

What a neat clock! I enjoyed seeing that picture of your in-laws...I really love old pictures and have a lot of them as part of my home decor. Last year a cousin of mine & I put together several heritage scrapbooks for her mother and I saw pictures of my mom I'd never seen before...it was really cool! I have copies and plan to share them with my brother & sister.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Kathi!

Your clock is a treasured vintage piece. The irridescent glaze is a sign of the era. I remember those type of pieces from my childhood.

Even more of a treasure is the photo of your In-Laws. It certainly speaks of bygone days. Life was much different then. I would love to shop in a store like that.

Thanks for sharing and for stopping by and commenting on my bird music box and my aunt's illness. Have a terrific weekend.

Blessings,
Mary

I love the picture of your in-laws! People dressed so much nicer back then, even if it was to go to the store! Nowadays you see people in PJ pants and house shoes! UGH! Cute clock!

Kathi, Love your clock! It is so unique!

I saw your tribute to Dottie Rambo! I was surprised when I heard it on the radio, while taking my kids of school Monday morning! She was one talented lady wasn't she? I'm not that familiar with her daughter Reba...but the songs Dottie wrote and sang have ministered to me so much, through the years! Sad, tragic loss!

Have a wonderful weekend!

What a neat clock and I love the picture of your in laws. They look so dressed up for the trip to the store. Older pictures of people always seemed like they dressed up more and the women wore gloves and hats. It is lovely that you have a special gift from your in laws that you treasure.

HI Kathi,
I'm so happy to see your banner! How I love your story. It's one of my favorites.

I enjoyed reading your show and tell but my computer is running slow and I was not able to see your photos. I'm going to check back a little later and try again.

Sending you good wishes.

Hugs,
Cookie

Kathi, I love your clock. Your in-laws looks wonderful. That picture reminded me that we used to were gloves very often in the 50's and 60's. xoxoxo Terrie
