Happy Mother's Day

Here is my mother, Shirley. I'm so thankful God gave me such a sweet mother. I love you Mom, and want to say, "Happy Mother's Day," to you.

This is a picture of Mom and me after I was married, but before I had my own children. We went to Hawaii together and had such a fun time.
Finally I got to experience motherhood. I am a mother of four children, and I thank God for giving each one to me. I love being a mother. "Thank you Lord for my children." I still have that rocking chair. When I nursed my babies I would pray this for the boys..."Lord, please give him the faith of Abraham, the obedience and adherence to following after You of Joseph, in a foreign land, the love for God as David had, and the God honoring ability and obedience to YOU that Daniel had..." I prayed this for the girls..."Lord, please give her loyalty to You, and love for YOU as Ruth had, faith as Hannah had, and trust and faith that the woman who touched the hem of YOUR garment had, and obedience as Mary had..." I still pray always for my children that they would walk with the Lord and love His Word. They will make good choices if they are seeking the Lord. Praise the Lord that we can ask for anything, and that is my heart's cry.

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there.

Hi Kathi......great minds think alike! I can't believe how similar our posts are today! In fact, we both used pictures of mom from Wade's wedding! Isn't that funny! I sure hope you enjoy your day today!!!! I woke up to a dozen red roses on the counter from Eric.....I think it will be a good day! :0) We really don't have anything too big planned, Cameron is coming down to have church with us and then we are going to breakfast. Eric, Hayden and I are going to a movie and I think Kenz and Britt will be joining us (Cam and Gray are working this afternoon). We will probably do pizza and rent a movie tonight. I hope you have a great day today. We saw Mom and Dad yesterday.

You are a good mother and your kids are wonderful! You have done a wonderful job Kathi!

Love, Sharon

I'm glad for the chance to reflect... I think it is blessing enough to be a parent, even if we were never celebrated for it. Wonderful Prayer - thanks!
