Tips On Making Life Less Stressful

I've been so busy that I feel out of place. The very best thing for me is to quote Scripture. Believe it or not it's usually the last thing I think to do, but it's the BEST thing to do.

When I quote Scritpure I speak the truth of what God thinks of me. He sent Jesus to die for me. I am a sinner and don't deserve to have my sins forgiven. Satan doesn't want me to remember that Jesus did this for me. The last thing he wants is for me to remember the truth: "I am forgiven. I am loved by God. God will never leave me or forsake me." When I said those words aloud, it was power against head-games Satan would like to play with my mind. The Lord is so good. He frees us from wrong thinking. God bless you dear blogging friends. I will get back and visit you soon. Blessings, Kathi Oh.............

One more thing....go spend some time playing with your children. They love it when you do, and you will feel so much better when you do. They are wonderful children. Keep building those relationships with them.

I agree Kathi! Reading scripture and praying help me so much when I am feeling overwhelmed. Well.....they help me every day period. I also agree that it is important to play with our children!

I can't wait to see you tomorrow! Have a good night!

Love you, Sharon

I am so grateful for the scripture I memorized as a child. I am reminded each time I use it, which is often, how important it is to have our children also hide it in their hearts.

Thanks for the reminder, also about taking time out of our busy-ness and playing with our kids.

One of the reasons I blog is that through my writing I work through my angst and the promises come to mind and then the peace comes in too! I get real with jesus and then he lifts my eyes and puts them on Him and all is well. Blessings to you!

I agree I used to know my scripture so well and Satan hated me to get in his face. I know being busy has kept me from the word. Thanks for reminding me.

I love playing with my kids too. We do not all play together as much as we used to :( When I was taking my early childhood development classes they told us that blowing bubbles is an excellent stress reliever for the kids and adults. My friend Tesha and I always made sure to have plenty of bubbles in our classrooms. I have a really old necklace that has a small glass bottled of bubbles attatched with a mini wand. Maybe I should dig that out and wear it. Keep it handy for those stressful moments :) LOL

You are so right!
You'd think by now I would know the tactics of the enemy, but sometimes I just accept the defeat and hopelessness I feel.
Thanks for the kick in the pants!

Great reminder, Kathi. I agree that scripture is the most powerful tool against the lies that we believe. Why is it usually the last place we (I) go?
Love, love, love playing with my kids- as opposed to just sitting around with them.
River rafting, anyone?

Kathi,

Spending time with our children is time well spent. Nourishing that relationship (no matter how old the children are)creates loving memories that all will hold dear.

Kathi!
If it was not for you I would not know a lot of the scriptures I know today, and I would most likely not have bought the concordance, so you have done so much good in my life. I am stronger and smarter in many ways because of you, and best of all ...closer with God. And I completely understand if I may not see a comment from you, I realize there are commitments and priorities, as there should be, so know that no matter what you always have a friend in me! You are a true treasure!

Love,
Kelly
