The First Day of School Was Everything We Prayed For and More

Garrett was the first one up this morning and getting ready for his first day of school.
God answered so many prayers. Victoria and Jessica love school and their classes.  Garrett loves his new teacher. All three kids came home happy and beaming.  We had been praying for Garrett to enjoy school and to have a teacher who allows the kids to have talking time and drawing time and a warm family feel to the classroom. One of the first things his new teacher said  to me was that they would be working on community and relationships in her classroom. She is young and fresh and excited about teaching. The room was warm and cozy. It is also right next to Mrs. Smith, the sweet librarian. These kids get to walk past Mrs. Smith for a smile and a dose of encouragement each time the enter and exit their class, which is another blessing. I'm so thankful. After I left Garrett's happy room, I walked past the other 4th grade room, the one where most of the kids he was with last year are situated. It might have been my imagination, but it seemed cold, loud and unfriendly. Regardless, I know Garrett is exactly where God has placed him and I am very very thankful. I'm going to keep praying that Garrett would be a leader and a helper in his room this year. I am also going to keep thanking God for His loving touch on our lives. I want to thank you dear blogging friends for your kind thoughts and prayers over my post yesterday. God is so good.
Blessings, Kathi

This is great news! Isn't our God wonderful! He is so faithful and good to us! Give all your cares to Him! I am so thankful that Garrett likes his teacher and the students in his class. I'm also glad that Victoria and Jessica like their schedules. Hayden likes his schedule too! I'm anxious to hear about Harrison's college experience!

Love, Sharon
