A couple weeks ago Sharon called and told me the boys were having a track meet near our town. I had been wanting to watch my nephews so I was happy for this opportunity.
I also had not worn my cowboy boots in awhile so I put them on.
They are comfy and warm. Grayson, Sharon's son was in a lot of pain after one of his races. He was mentally convincing himself to run the next race.
Even though his legs were hurting he went out to run.
He came in 2nd on this race. I'm really proud of him for hanging in there and running to support his team, even though his legs were aching.
My daughter Victoria and her friend Abby were helpers at this meet. This was an added bonus for me to meet her there and take her home afterwards.
Eric and Sharon are faithful wonderful parents. They spend a lot of time in those stands. I think they were able to go to every track meet this season.
Hayden and Grayson both ran the same race. Here they are just before running.
Grayson was 2nd and Hayden was 5th. Hayden is much younger and did very well with his personal best.
Sharon loves her boys and is such a great supportive parent. Grayson's face shows the pain he is feeling in his legs.
Victoria and I had fun at the track meet, but we were freezing, so we stopped to get a bight to eat and warm up. I'm so thankful for these spur of the moment fun times with my sister and with my daughter.
