You had no reasons to explain your position to me, as we all have the right to vote as we wish, and no one, no matter which way they chose to vote would ever have any problems from me. But, I do want to say that my vote was not cast for Barak Obama because of the color of his skin. I feel that I weighed the issues and chose the best man for the job. My post today will explain my reasons for my choice for President. A lot of Australians aren't happy with our Prime Minister either, so it makes me wonder who in fact voted for him! lol Over here voting is compulsory, and incurs heavy fines or jail time if you don't vote, but even though there are lots of people who do vote properly and put a lot of thought into their decision, there are still those that do what we call a "donkey vote". That means that they didn't fill out the electoral card properly and then their annon vote isn't counted either way. So I guess that's how we got our PM! lol We've all been talking over here too about the US elections, and watching the reports, and it seems pretty divided over here. Some aussies don't care either way, some think Obama will be good for the US, and others like myself are really quite concerned about what his type of politics will do to the USA, and it's ripple effect around the world.....including OZ! I guess what's done is done, so we just have to keep praying. Oh sweetie, I LOVE what you've done with the bookcase, it looks like you and I have had similar projects this week!. Can't wait for more photo's, I love seeing bits of the inside of youe home.
