My Feathered Nest Is Nearly Empty

Good Morning! I am going to miss these girls. My two daughters live at home and go to school. Victoria actually graduated, but she had a summer internship so it was nearly the same as being a full time student. I captured her last day going to school campus and...
 ...her
last day as professional intern. She is so excited to begin working for pay as she plans her wedding. Jessica got a part time job so her days are full...

...She hardly has time for me to snap her picture as she rushes out the door for school...

... and then off to her job at the market. I am beginning to feel sad that these moments are fleeting. My daughters will soon be out of my feathered nest, and I will begin a new chapter.
I know this is God's plan, and I would not want it any other way, but...the empty nest seems so lonely without them. I may be throwing a pity party, as I still have a 15 year old son who brings me great delight. I have so much to be thankful for. My nest is still very active and I am so blessed.

...I have at least four more wonderful years with this young man.
                       Zephaniah 3:17
"The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you."
                         Blessings, Kathi

Empty nests are one of the seasons of life...we get on with it and, as you say, would not want it any other way because it means growth and independence for our children. The good news is that, usually, the nest expands again once the grandchildren begin to arrive!
