Feathering My Nest (that's me) Featured On Between the Lines!

Hello Dear Readers!

I am excited to tell you that I have been invited to post my blog about myself as being a 50 year old or above blogger on Katherine's Corner!  If you go to her blog you would then scroll down to her blog series called, "Between the Lines," which she posts each Tuesday. Well, it is Tuesday and I am on the list of featured bloggers for week 2 this week!

For those who do not know me, I am 56 years old. I love my family, so my blog features my husband and our four children often. I am almost an empty nester: Our children's ages are 24, 23, 21 and 14.

My dear sister Sharon , at Rose of Sharon Garden, introduced me to the blogging world nine years ago. This is Sharon and me at her 50th birthday party. She and I both feel that blogging is our creative outlet.
We can say what we want and share our interests in the most fascinating ways. I love it when a photo speaks perfectly to how I am feeling so I incorporating into my post. My blog is full of the Lord and His goodness to me. I share what God is doing in my life and how He has blessed me in so many ways. One of the first times I shared my faith was with "The Big White Dog story" about my grandmother, Margaret. I also like to blog about my hobbies: Sewing,
 gardening,
 and cooking,
in which I always try to include the recipe. Other posts are about my dear husband and me. One of my favorites is called "Garden of My Heart," I love that one.
I share about our date nights too.
I am gaining confidence with my decorating, so I do share some of those things. I like thrift shopping, fashion,
and Jane Austen books and movies. I have to admit sometimes I write personal things, things that are not all roses and sunshine,  such as, about how mean girls have treated me.
I have been brutally honest about feeling low about myself about not measuring up. My daughter is getting married this year,
so we have a lot of excitement going on in our home, which I will be sharing with all of you! I believe that there are lots of 50 years and older bloggers who may have a bit more time to blog than those who are younger. We have the time to read other blogs too! I enjoy reading my new friend's blogs and I do hope they enjoy reading mine too. Please visit Katherine's Corner today, Tuesday, week 2, to see me featured. Thanks! Between the Lines.
One more thing, I am not a grandmother yet, but believe me I will share all about it when the day arrives.

       Blessings, Kathi
"When the Holy Spirit controls our lives, He will produce this kind of fruit in us: Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control." Galatians 5:22

Hi Kathi! So glad to be a part of this fabulous series with you. I have to start by sharing how totally envious I am of you and your hubby cruising in that pretty restored Chevy. How much fun is that! I also have a daughter getting married this summer so I join you in the frenzy of planning a wedding. Unlike you, I can't cook so I'm going to be following your recipe posts for sure! Nice to meet you ☺

Congratulations on being featured, Kathi. I will head over there and check it out. I enjoy your blog for all of the reasons you mentioned. I must admit my jaw dropped when I saw that huge basket of rhubarb you were holding. That is awesome. I've tried to grow it in my garden, but have decided our climate is too hot.
How fun to be planning a wedding for your daughter.
By the way, I cracked up after reading your comment about necks and selfies. I had forgotten all about that scene in the movie. I must go back and watch it again.
