The Mercy of God

I'm still playing catch up with my blog. This is a photo of our front yard tree after a huge limb crashed to the ground. You can see the place where the limb broke off. As you can see from the picture this was a very large limb. It broke when we had lots of snow and ice. My daughter Victoria saw the branch fall. The rest of us heard it. It was a crackling sound and then a massive shaking quaking boom to the ground. It wasn't 'til later that Victoria told me that she had thought of running out and swinging from the swing of that large branch that very morning, but had gotten distracted with breakfast and talking in the kitchen. I praise God for His mercy. That enormous limb would have killed her had it fallen on our precious daughter.  At the time, my daughter was 18, and a very spirited young lady. She loved swinging on that swing and did it almost daily. She is now almost 21 and still very happy and active. I'm so thankful!!
"Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy."    Psalm 28:6

Blessings, Kathi

Hi Kathi,
I was so happy to see a comment from you and to learn that you are back to blogging.
After reading your post today I was thinking how sad it was to lose such a big limb on your tree. But then when I read about your daughter almost going out to swing... what a scary thought. Thanks be to God that he was there to protect her.

I'm so thankful that God protected her that day! Wow, that would have been so tragic. God is good!

Hi Kathi, I have been away from blogging for a few days, as we had two deaths in my dh's family, and some sickness.
I would like to comment on a few of your previous posts, Loved the post of you and the kids in a hot tub with snow on the ground, I have always wanted to do this.~smile~ We have had 8 inches of snow since yesterday, with ice tonight, and power outages predicted.
The photo of your dh and Garrett at the table sharing the Bread of Life together is priceless!

I am glad you got the bug in your blog taken care of. I have site meter on mine and from time to time I check it, I recently found that someone from NY with the same IP address was coming to my blog spending hours on my blog viewing page after page several times a day. Need less to say I was a bit concerned. I didn't know if they were trying to find personal info or not. So I am being extra careful about what personal info I put on there.
I think going through your parents attic with them to help decide what to do with their treasures and to give you ladies information is the best idea, I love how close your family is, a rare thing this day in age.
Just like you I am so thankful of how God has interviened in my family's lives so many times. His presence, and mercies are limitless! Thank you for sharing your life, words cannot tell you of the encouragement I get from reading yours and Sharons blogs.
May the Lord continue to bless and keep you always.
Love,
Sue

Thank heavens for the tender mercies of the Lord, and bless your heart for seeing his hand in making her too busy to go out and swing that morning. :)
