This smile and the joy within this child's heart is a direct answer to prayer. Years ago Garrett was joyless, moody, and sad quite often. I prayed daily for God to instill in him the joy of the Lord. Recently, I picked up my prayer journal and my book Power of a Praying Parent, by Stormie Omartian. Inside the book I found where I daily prayed for Garrett.
