Old Fashioned Photos and Beef Bourguignon

One day after school, Jessica and I decided to have fun taking old fashioned looking photos. It all started because of the dress she was wearing.  She grabbed a suitcase for a prop and I started snapping pictures. This was the same day I planned to make beef bourguignon for dinner. So...more about photos later.
In the morning after the kids left for school I got out this recipe book, which I found at a thrift store. The recipes looked promising; simple and authentic.
I followed the recipe precisely.
This is what it looked like in the pot and this is what it looked like
on the plate. Yum yum. It was very good. Everyone loved it. I got a kick out of Jessica below pretending
to be skeptic. She really did like it. Okay back to our photo session...
Above is the black and white version, also cropped and below is the original version. We had fun taking these pictures.
I think the black and white really makes it appear as though she is from a different time period. Thought I'd share this and encourage you all to try this with your kids and cameras. Have a lovely weekend. Kathi

That picture of your daughter is so neat, I love the way it looks so vintage. I always wanted to make beef bourguignon, yours looks so delightful. I love the fact that you found such a neat cookbook at a thrift shop. We would have so much fun milling around and finding treasures I bet.

Smiles,

Debbie
