I Made Another Top From A Sun Dress

Once again I found a clearance item and altered it so that I could wear it to school . When I found it I liked the colors, but not the fit. It was too long for me and made me look out of proportion.
It's a pretty dress, but for school I really needed straps and I would have to wear something under or over it for keeping with our school dress code.
I did the same with this dress as I did with the others. I cut off about 3 inches from the bottom and made shoulder straps from that fabric.
I can now wear the dress as a top with one of my thrift store sweaters over it.
Remember if you like the color but not the fit, get out your scissors and sewing machine and change it. You can do it. Have a lovely day.
Blessings, Kathi "All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them." Acts 9:39

Hi Kathi, I am so enjoying catching up on what you have been doing, You truly motivate me in so many ways, in how you deal with people especially teaching, and how you manage your home. I have been wanting to get back to sewing and knitting, but have found so many excuses. seeing what you are doing with the great finds has motivated me even more.
I had to smile when you were talking about the older children and how hard it was to teach them because of their lack of respect, and realized as i read on that God is taking you out of your comfort zone, because He knows who is up to the challenge, and you certainly are. He also knows what these kids need and who He can trust to give it to them.

What an Awesome God we serve Kathi, You see, you write these posts, i am on the other end reading I can tell your heart is to please God, I find that so inspiring. not to mention so refreshing. May you continue to seek and follow His will for your life, as lives are and will continue to change.
Blessings,
Sue
