Lunch With Harrison

Today is kind of a sad and sort of bitter sweet day. I'm dressed up because I'm taking my high school senior out to lunch for the last time before the school year ends. I asked Harrison where he would like to go and he chose a really fun deli.
Harrison loves this old style deli and wanted to go there for his last lunch with me during the school year.
He got a Reuben and I got a French dip. I love spending time with my son.
Before we left the owner took our picture behind the cash register. After this we went thrift shopping and then he was back to class. I praise God for my children and the little fun things we can do together. "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17

Yay! It looks like I can finally leave a comment. Blogger has been giving me a hard time lately.

One-on-one time with the kids is the best isn't it?! I'm always amazed that my kids (especially) my boys still want to spend time with their old mom. I've missed this with Travis since he's been on his mission but he keeps telling me of his fun plans for us when he gets home. I know though soon he'll be off with friends again and I'll take a back seat but that's how it's supposed to be...right?

Victoria is such a pretty girl and I'm sure she was so excited to get her braces off. Kaje's come off in Nov. or Dec. so she graduated high school with them on.

I read the Home Depot post too so I see you've been busy and trying to do things with each child, or at least let them have the experience of doing these things. You're such a good mom and it's been fun to get a glimpse into your life and your faith. :)

P.S. Hope everyone else is well and doing fine. Are you going back to teaching this fall?

Mom dates are just the best aren't they! It looks like you guys had a fun time. I'm so happy that you had that fun memory with him before he graduated. You're a good mama Kathi!
