Winter Happenings

Our son Harrison took Nikki to the winter formal at his school. He wanted everything to be special down to the detail.
He took her to a nice restaurant before the dance. They had so much fun together. They are good kids. I'm so thankful to see God answering so many prayers I've prayed for our children over the years about who they would date and eventually marry.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas with family and friends. This is actually a photo from last year's Christmas dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. I just forgot to post it. This is the first year in awhile that I got my Christmas cards out and on time. I'm so thankful for that. This is so simple, but pretty. Put a string of mini lights inside a large Mason jar, "Wa La." I got to go to Harrison's ceramics open house and we both made bowls. I had so much fun with my son. This was while my husband was in India. That was a busy week with Christmas programs the day before and after at Jessica and Garrett's schools. I'm so thankful that I was able to attend each event, as I love my kids and want to be involved as much as possible.
Our family needs your prayers for my sweet Daddy. His heart has been racing. The doctors are lowering this with medicine, but sometimes it gets too low and they are considering a pacemaker for that. Please pray for health and strength for my dad, Leonard. Thank you so much Dear Readers and bless you as we begin a new year. Love, Kathi "The Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me." Psalm 18:18 and 19

Hi Kathi,
I will keep your dad (and your family) in my prayers. It is so worrisome when our parents aren't well.

Thanks for your comment about The Shack. I was curious as to what my Christian friends thought of the book. All are in agreement it is only a story to read, as it is not in agreement with the Scriptures.

I loved the idea of the lights in the mason jar. I'm going to give that a try :)

Love,
Amy

Hi Kathi, Nice post here, picked only one person to visit today (still have a house full of company) and thought it should be you. I mentioned your site in a post on my page last week. Hope you have a chance to come and see it and I hope it caused a little bit of traffic your way. Happy new year to you and your beautiful family. Your cyber friend, Keri

G'morn, Kathi ~ I hope your Dad will be fine ... pacemaker's are wonderful in solving heart issues. I was very young when I received mine & it changed my life.

Enjoy your company & holiday season.

Happy New Year,

I still don't have my cards out. It's been so insane around here and I've definitely had the blues with Travis leaving. I miss hearing his voice more than anything and his hugs. I definitely will add your dad to my prayers. I hope they can control the racing soon and he doesn't heve to have a pacemaker. The dance and ceramics class looked like a ball! What sweet kids you have.

My MIL is having the same issues. We'll pray.

Another twist on the mason light idea is to fill with clear glass beads and colored lights. Very pretty.

Happy New Year!

Cute pictures Kathi. Nicki and Harrison and Victoria and Gabe are such cute couples! I am so glad that Daddy is better, but he still needs a lot of prayers. I know it is all in God's hands.

I love you, Sharon
