I Made Salsa Again Last Week

Good Morning Everyone! Whew, I have had a busy few weeks. Last week I canned both peaches and salsa. This week was even busier, but I will tell you about that tomorrow.I'm so thankful that all these gorgeous green and red peppers and tomatoes are growing in my garden right now. I have to mentally gear up for making salsa. It's a lengthy project. I chop and freeze all the onions one month before working with the peppers and onions. I chop all the tomatoes on the first day and all the peppers on the second day.
This year I watched this inspiring classic movie called "A Man Called Peter." I felt so happy watching it that I ended up watching it all three days. This movie is a faith builder and wonderful true story about Peter Marshall and his wife Cathrine. I like to watch happy things when I have a lot of kitchen work, especially chopping.
Last year I watched "Rear Window" with Grace Kelly and James Stewart. I wanted a little glamour for my salsa canning. You can read about that here if you'd like. I made a special breakfast for my husband and me. I wanted to try salsa on our home grown hashbrowns. It tasted zesty and delicious. My salsa recipe was taken from the Ball Blue Book for canning. Please let me know if you want me to send you the recipe.
I do want to visit each of you ladies, but this week has been difficult with a huge party and now the clean up. I will share with you soon. "Jesus said, 'Do not worry, 'saying, what shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'...Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you as well." Matt. 6:31,33

Your salsa looks yummy! I know what work it is as my husband loves to make and can salsa! Great idea to watch a movie. I really like "Rear View Window" too. I will have to check out the movie of Peter Marshall. I know they had an amazing life.

Our tomato plants got smashed by a storm and they didn't do well after that. if we are to make salsa this year everything but the jalapenos will have to be bought. love your blog.
