I decided to drive the girls to the $1.50 theater the day before Jessica's birthday as sort of a spur of the moment fun thing to do to celebrate. We saw "Confessions of a Shopaholic." It was a cute chick flick. I loved being with my two daughters doing something out of the ordinary on a school night.
The next day was a fun day of wrapping gifts for her. I knew she really wanted pink Converse, but didn't know where to find them. I was so excited that a coupon came in the mail for 40% off everything in a shoe store. I was super excited to find that they had a pair of pink ones, which were already on sale, plus the discount.
I thanked God for this blessing and that I was able to get some special things that I knew she would like.
She loved her shoes. We are so thankful to have her.
The next morning we drove to the big city and shopped together all day. I'm so thankful and overjoyed that Jessica's wish was to spend time with her sister Victoria and me.
Along the way we were so surprised to see a lot of school buses at a track field with our nephew's school written on the side of one of them. I called my sister Sharon's cell phone and found that they were there watching the boys run track.
You had to pay to get in so we said hi to Sharon through the fence and watched Grayson run the 400. What a sweet bonus to bump in them at the track meet.
Then we were off to have some lunch at Dairy Queen.
We enjoyed many fun things and tried on lots of clothes.
The girls found a few things they liked.
Jessica enjoyed all the fragrances.
Time for a matinee. This was a cute movie. We had a really fun time together.

This post really touched me. The relationship is just beautiful. I did not have that with my mom. I pray I am cultivating that same thing with my little girl.
