Victoria's Choir Concert and Busy Week

Hello dear blogging friends. It's been awhile since I've posted. Here is a picture of our front door and porch. Since we've been making changes on our home and getting rid of the dangerous carpet, I've felt out of whack.
I know things will calm down and become orderly again soon. I'm looking forward to that. Here is Jessica, our daughter by the lamp post again. Victoria our daughter is in the photo below. The kids love taking pictures by the lamp post when it snows. Can you guess why?
It's so they can pretend they are in "Narnia." If you have not read the books, I'd encourage you to do so, they are wonderful and tell the story of Jesus dying for us in the form of a lion named Aslan.
This is how pretty it looked the day the cows got out. I snapped this photo of my husband and children going to their posts. Each of us were assigned a spot to guard to keep the cattle from going the wrong direction. The cows were on the other side of that bridge. we had to get them to come across the bridge and back into our field. It was very cold. I do believe it was 26 degrees that day. We are so thankful we were able to get them all in.
In other news, Frank cut and colored my hair again. I like the shine very much. He does a great job.
I really like the way our daughter Jessica is parting her hair on one side. She looks pretty.
We got to go to our daughter Victoria's Christmas choir concert. On the way we stopped in this circular drive way to look at all the lights. They have a donation box and free candy canes. We love stopping in here on our way to town.
Garrett got a candy cane. We took two cars, that's why it looks empty in here.
Harrison, our son walking Garrett to his seat for the concert.
We brought Jessica's friend Maria on the left, who sat with Jessica and Harrison. Maria spent the night with us. We enjoyed Victoria's concert. I didn't take any photos of her on stage though.
Me, Garrett and my husband Stacey getting ready for the concert to begin.
Victoria wore her pretty black dress and a sweater over it. Garrett was out like a light.
Victoria really likes her choir teacher. She has tons of enthusiasm.
It's tradition, we always go out for ice-cream afterwards, so here we are at Dairy Queen.
In the midst of a busy day teaching, then going to school functions in the evening, I find it so refreshing to stop in at Safeway and get their Chinese food. I just put it on plates to make it look pretty.

I could have lied and told you I made all that Chinese food from scratch and that I am a gourmet cook, but I will tell the truth. I will also tell the truth that sometimes I feel discouraged for no reason at all. I pray through these times and God, in His perfect timing, answers my prayers and brings me through. I thank the Lord and I want to thank you dear blogging friends for being patient with me. I am way over due in my visits to you. "Because Jesus (God the Son) lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. He is able to save completely those who come to God the Father through Him" (save from permanent separation from God, the Father) "because He always lives to intercede for them." Hebrews 7:24-25 I don't know about you, but I am so thankful Jesus (God the Son) intercedes for us and sends His peace through God the Holy Spirit) .

Thank you Sharon, Michelle and Pearl for your notes to me, they helped me. God is good and I am feeling like myself again. Have a wonderful Sunday to all of you dear blogging friends. Love, Kathi

So good to hear from you. I love peaking into your world--you seem so full of grace and love. I've thought of you several times in the last few days, but I realize your days are VERY full. It seems to be a common theme among many bloggers--being in a funk of sorts.

Praying He would multiply your time and order your days, filling you with peace as you set your gaze towards Him each morning. Praying also for His precious joy to rise up in you as He wraps His arms around you Kathi!

I LOVE that scripture!

Your hair looks very pretty. I can't believe you are doing so much work on your house this close to the holidays. Are you crazy? LOL! The concert looks lovely and the Dairy Queen and Chinese look yummy. I think that we all feel down and discouraged at different times. I am sorry that you are feeling that way now. I think it is just part of life and most of us know how difficult that hump is to get over. I hope you are feeling better very soon. (((hugs)))

Victoria looks so beautiful. It looks like you all enjoyed the concert. I love your tradition of getting icecream afterwords. That's really special and fun!I'm sorry that you have been down and out of sorts. I blogged all about that today too. I am sure that having your home torn up has a lot to do with it. Just imagine how people feel whose homes burned down or were ruined by a flood or something. I try to put things in perspective, but it is still hard. It is hard to pull yourself out of the dumps. I try to just keep praying and reading my Bible and trusting God and also keep myself moving.

God bless you today Kathi.

Can't wait to see you on Wednesday!

P.S. Funny thing....my word verification is "Blogi" isn't that funny!

Oh, I forgot to mention that I love your hair. It is so shiny and pretty and healthy. Maybe I need to go to Frank. Also, I love the idea of Safeway Chinese food. How much did all that cost?

Love you sista, Sharon

I really like your haircut and color. So, pretty. You are very blessed and your children are beautiful. Looks like you had a lot of fun going to your daughter's concert and going out afterwards. My brother and I were both in the school band and my folks did the same thing!

Your girls are getting so beautiful, I was just talking to Sharon about them last night. I be Victoria sang wonderfully in her choir concert! I'd love to hear her sing sometime. I love your hair to! You look great!

I'm so sorry you've been down lately. I'll be praying that the Lord fills your days with joy and gives you more time.

You've been very busy. When your house is back together you'll feel a lot better about everything, at least that's what I tell myself. The laundry room still isn't done. It's so hard when you're doing it yourself and have to do it piece by piece when you have the time. I get discouraged sometimes too and blogging helps me so much to overcome it. I'm glad I don't have to pretend to be perfect here and I'm certainly no gourmet cook either! I'm glad I can be myself and that I still have blogging buddies! LOL! Merry Christmas to you and your's. It's going to be crazy around here like everywhere else for awhile and I don't know how much I can check blogs so Merry Christmas! Cindy

I love your new hair cut! Wish Frank was closer to me so I could get my hair cut.

I'm thinking about doing a post about Holiday Blues. I think a lot of us feel that way from time to time.

Great lamp post shots. I could see that scene in my minds eye.

Have a blessed Christmas season.

Ohhh my!

Busy, Busy, Busy, just doesn't seem to come close enough to describe how things have been for you, does it?! I love your hair! Isn't it such a blessing to have someone like Frank that can take care of your hair just the way you want? I'm so glad you took the time for yourself to have it done, and it really does look pretty... but, then again, I think you're beautiful anyway!! Ohhhh... I just loved those photos of the girls by the lamp-post... very enchanting looking! I wish I lived nearby, I'd have gone to Victoria's Concert... I'm always very touched at how your entire family attends each others events... and, I'd have helped y'all eat some of that yummy-looking Chinese food as well... mmmmmmm... a nice way to end a busy day, I think! God is indeed good to us, and I feel so very blessed to call you my friend ~hugs~ I am thankful for how we are able to love, help 'n support each other across the miles through our hearts... God bless...

~hugs 'n prayers~
