Breakfast Mom Date With Victoria in Small Town USA

I just love this little cafe in small town USA. Every now and then I bring the kids here for a cinnamon twist.
They have great pastries and coffee. Today it's Victoria's turn to come here with me.
We had such a good visit talking about school and church and her life. She is 15 and a half.
Victoria decided she wanted a smoothie. I wanted a cinnamon twist and bacon.
Love their baked goods.
Mmmmmmmm cherry pastries.
Here's mine.
I love talking with my daughter and enjoying this place together. She's growing up so fast.
Here's her strawberry smoothie and cinnamon twist. You can't read her T-Shirt, but it says
"I heart hard core Christian guys." She wore it to public high school. She's not ashamed of the Gospel or the fact that she's a Christian. I'm thankful for this. Thank you Victoria, for the very fun time I had with you the other morning. I'm so proud of you and love you so much.

Even though my girls are adults now, I still enjoy quiet time with just one of them at a time. It is nice just to be with them with no interruptions from any one else.

What a beautiful young lady she is! Don't you just treasure those moments with your children? Our oldest is seventeen and is praying about where to go to college-where has the time gone I ask :) Enjoy every sweet moment!
Those pastries look wonderful- and the little cafe adorable!

God bless~

What a very fun day out and I love this shop. Not too many around like this anymore. I love the one on one times with my kids too and I think they're so important. Glad you do it with yours. Oh, and I love the new picture of you as a Happy Housewife in 1983. Ironing is one of my least favorite chores! Cindy

Hi Kathi... Ohh I just loved this post about your special day with Victoria. The cafe is adorable and I wish I had some of that bacon! Mmmmm... I had many special outings like this with my Mom during her life, and I treasure each memory so very much. Please let your beautiful daughter know how much I loved her shirt, but mostly of how very proud I am of her for wearing it to school and for being such a precious child of God.

Thank you, Kathi, for visiting me and for your sweet words 'n prayers... so glad you enjoyed the pictures, too... heheheee! And, I am so excited about your "new" car! Sounds like she is wonderful, and of course I love the idea of naming her "Pearl" ~wink!~

I hope you and your family are doing well... I have missed visiting with you, and am looking forward to catching up... God bless...

~hugs 'n prayers~

How sweet. And I loved seeing my mom's comment on the top!
I try to do this with my kids, but I really should be more intentional about it.

You are raising such a beautiful Godly daughter, I am so moved by her willingness to not back down, to not be afraid of what someone may say, there are some adult christians that would not do that! You go girl, she is a great inspiration! I cannot wait to see what God has in store for her.

Love,
Kelly
