Birthday Tea With Mom and Sisters

Sarah at Every Day Elegance is having a favorite things Monday over at her blog. Please check it out and share your favorite things. Here is one of mine:

Why is Kathi so happy and excited? Well, today is the day we celebrate three birthdays: Mom's, Kelli's and Sharon's. We get to go to a cute tea house this time for lunch. Come along with me as I drive to the place Kelli chose. Oh my goodness, this is fabulous; two in one. One side is the cutest little store with country craft decorations and the other is our tea house. Let's go inside, shall we?
It's darling. It smells so good in here. The music is lovely. The decorations are so cute.
What a sweet lil waiting area.
Oh, so precious.
Fun fun fun.

Since we got a call that the others will be late, let's look through this wonderful book. It's put out by Teatime Magazine.
I love this idea of putting bells and ribbons on tea-cups.
Oh this pumpkin bouquet is so pretty.
Oh by the way, I forgot to snap a photo of my lil tea-pot. My tea today is Peach Green tea, and it is fabulous. This table setting is gorgeous.
Oh, how fun. I'd love to have my sisters and mother over for an outdoor tea in my orchard; maybe next summer. Mine would be less formal, but I'd try to make it pretty like this photo.

Here is the menu. This tea house changes their menu monthly. Ahh, it all looks so good. I believe I'll order the full tea. Oh yay, it looks like my mother and sisters have arrived. I'm so happy to be with them today. I love them so much.

My mother, Shirley had an August Birthday, Sharon a September, and Kelli's was also August. I had mine in March.
Everything looks so tasty.
Each item was made with care and full of flavor.
My favorite dessert was the pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting.

Now it's time to open gifts. Sharon got a lovely set of devotional items from Kelli.
A book called A Woman After God's Own Heart, by Elizabeth George, journal, pink highlighter, peach tea, and a chocolate bar. The pink highlighter is for highlighting Bible passages having to do with women, wives and mothers.
Kelli surprised me by getting me an early birthday gift of the same things she gave Sharon. I love them. Thank you Kelli.

Kelli and I had already given gifts to Mom, but Sharon gave her this lovely wild flower candle.

She also gave her this wonderful soft pink throw.
Kelli got these spice containers and blue floral pitcher from me, which I found on sale at T.J. Max.
I also found these for Sharon; pink glass serving dish and napkin holder.
Sharon gave Kelli this darling fall table scape. Well, that was fun and yummy. Shall we go next door to that cute lil store now? Let's do...

Wow, there are fall decorations everywhere. all of it is so cute and fun.
The store owner told me she changes the them seasonally. I can't wait to come back at Christmas time.
This is one of those darling felt place mats, made from felt circles.
Adorable!

I want to get some of those banners, but they are a bit $$. I think I will make some instead.

Sharon is moving so fast. She's trying to grab something before I see it.
Here's one of those banners. They had one that said "Eek."
The owl is so cute. Oh my goodness, I just realized I didn't show you what I bought. I bought two cute tiny wreaths, a lil pumkin with a black tree sticking out of it, and a darling little cardboard box basket, which I place on the shelf in my kitchen. If you scroll down to the hot cocoa picture you'll see them in the background.
Time to go. We had so much fun together. I love you, Kelli, Sharon and Mom. Let's do this again very soon. "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man that takes refuge in Him." Psalm 34:8

I just found the message about the backpack and missing open house. I have missed stuff before because I forget to check the backpack for important papers. I have to remind myself to check. Is he in the third grade? Mine is. Have a good day Kathi:)

What a fun birthday party. it reminds me of outings with my mom and three sisters. I treasure those times. My family lives approx. 7 1/2 hours from me. So, we only get to do this a few times a year. You have a beautiful family. Hugs, Terrie

Kathi,

I love this post! And I love tea houses! You and Sharon seriously have two of the most uplifting blogs out there - I'm always filled with such joy at reading about you guys and your families, and your hearts are so tuned to not only the goodness of the Lord but His JOY! :o)

My girlfriends and I used to go to tea houses but haven't been since my best friend's baby shower...eek, four years ago...almost fives, yikes! We should go again! (We'd traded them in for those paint for own pottery places for a while, haha!)

The tea treats look so tasty, and I love all of the teapots and teacups...you're totally right about the ribbon and bell, super cute! I love all of the pink and black in the waiting area.

Have a very beautiful week, Kathi!

Good Morning and thanks for stopping by and visiting me on Friday's S&T! My Hub has had the computer tied up all weekend processing his photos from our recent vacation so I have been unable to "visit"!

I Loved the tea you had with your Mom and sisters! My mom is out of state and so I cherish whatever time I get with her!

I love the stocking you made for S&T! I have special stockings for our family as well. I haven't made them but they are suited for their personalies! What would Christmas morning be without a stocking to open? I'm suddenly a bit sad to realize that with our youngest daughter getting married soon (Nov 7th) I am down to our last child waking up at home on Christmas morning! WOW! When did my children grow up?

Happy MOnday!

What an ADORABLE tea house! It looks like you girls had fun. I am a fan of tea houses. There's something about going to have tea that just relaxes you like going to a spa. :)

Kathi, Since you liked rhe spices helpful hints list. Why not just copy and paste it into your word documents. Then print it. You could even do it on some nice paper. Just an idea!!!

You are so blessed to have your sisters and mom near. I have one sister near me and my mom has gone to be with the Lord. My other sister and brother are far away. So, I only see them once and and while. But we do keep in touch via the internet. Thanks for sharing your special day! God bless you, Elena

I noticed you have a John Deere tractor mailbox. If you dont mind I was interested in where you bought it. My uncle collects John Deere stuff and it would make a great Christmas gift.
