Thou Art With Me

"If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river." Isaiah 48:18 It has been said that peace like a RIVER is very different than peace like a POND. Photobucket  "...a peace that can be retained while life twists and turns and rolls over boulders...To have peace like a river is to have security and tranquillity of heart and mind while meeting many bumps and unexpected turns on life's journey through change."  Author unknown. Photobucket Sometimes I get scared and say, "You mean you are taking me down that raging river, Lord?" The Lord didn't say that I would have no problems in this life. He promised, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
I need to remember that even though I don't know what is ahead, Jesus is with me in the boat. "...Thou Art with me..."Psalm 23 Have a blessed Sunday ~ Kathi

Hi Kathi, last night I stumbled upon one of my favorite movies. It's called, Love Comes Softly. I cried 3 or 4 times. In the movie one of my favorite parts is when the man gives an analogy to explain that the Lord doesn't promise we won't have problems but he promises to be there as we go through them. After reading your post today, I thought its funny how the lord will enlighten two with the same scripture, then cause their paths to meet in agreement, which strengthens them both. God is good. Deb

Kathi, I just adore Beth Moore! I haven't participated in the Breaking Free Study, but I have done several others! Her writing is so insightful and she is such a great speaker! I have been to two of her weekend conferences, to see her in person! The praise group that opens for her is awesome as well!!! I have been in church since birth, and I learned more about the Bible through her studies, than any other venue! ....as to your post, I loved it! It was beautiful and insightful and a great reminder! ~Rhonda :)
