I've Been Tagged to Show My Tea Cups

Tea With Mrs. Fox has tagged me to show my tea cups. I posted this quite awhile back before I met her, so she didn't get to see them. I am re-posting them in honor of her request. They are mostly what I'd call coffee cups not tea-cups, so I'm bending the rules a little bit. Here they are, and like I said, "I must have variety."I'd like to show you what I drink out of every day. I like variety! Either that or I'm crazy. Here is my coffee cup collection. Sometimes I use a different cup for morning and afternoon. Am I nuts This one is fun for playing cards with my kids. I have four of them.
This owl is one of my favorites, because I like the lightness of the cup; the way it feels in my hand. I drink out of him in the afternoon. He was made in Japan, as most of mine are.
Of course I love all my florals. Most of my cups are from the 1970's also.
I found these at St. Vincent De Paul for .49 cents. I use the red check one for camping and for picnics in the backyard.
The one with pears is the first one I began collecting. I got the idea from my sister Sharon. Sharon always had these cute coffee cups. Many of them were pedestal cups. She told me she paid less than a dollar for them at thrift shops.
I got so intrigued by the idea that I could have variety for so cheap, and be so thrilled with my purchases. When looking for a cup I like to find a certain shape, and the pattern must go all the way around. It has to feel light and nice in my hand.
These are bone china. They are very light weight. I love the cool patterns from the 1970's.
Sometimes the crazier; the better. I couldn't resist these colorful ones.
I love these great shapes and colors. Everyone of my cups was purchased for less than a dollar, and each one is special to me. I really do use them and enjoy them. Thank you for letting me share my collection with you today. Thank you Mrs. Fox for tagging me. Please go over and see her favorite tea cups. Please ladies do not feel like you have to show as many as I have shown. "My cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life." Psalm 23:5

Adorable Kathi! I love all of them! I had no idea that you had so many! They are all so neat. It is funny that you give me the credit, because I give you the credit! I remember when we were both newlyweds and Eric and I visited you and Stacey at your new home you purchased near the University. I remember that you offered me a cup of coffee and you had the cutest mugs. I promptly went to Goodwill and bought myself several cute mugs after that there was no stopping me! It is funny how you have your little rules, like the pattern must go all the way around, etc. One of my rules is I don't want it white on the inside, I prefer seeing color when I look into my mug!

We are like two peas in a pod!

I love you sister!

Love, Sharon

It is a good thing you do not live in earthquake territory! My goodness, you have a lot of mugs. They are lovely too and you could never get bored. I would probably take forever to decide which mug to use each time! :)

I like to collect cups too. Mostly holiday themed but I have several. Now I would really like to find one similar to your blue owl!!!

Mine's shared too, I hope to see you drop by if you haven't already. I'd love to have you for company.

A great collection. I love how you use the things you collect rather than just display them!

Great verse at the end of your blog! Fun cups too! I use the same one every day. It was given to me for Christmas when my almost 18 year old son was 6. I didn't drink coffee back then but I do now. It says "World's Greatest Mom". I wouldn't trade it for the Queen of England's whole set!

I really like the one with the pears. The first one you collected. It looks so pretty with the other yellow ones, too. I like the shape. We, too have lots of mugs. Different sizes, shapes and designs. kind of whatever somebody sees and likes, they pick it up. My grandson, too, comes home from the resale shop with them. Fun. Thanks for sharing.

You've got such a cute cup collection...thanks for sharing them with us! I don't know if you're like this, too - but whenever I see a particular type of mug from my childhood (that green floral Corelle), it sure jogs a lot of memories...like all of the adults gathered around the table at my grandparent's drinking coffee and visiting.

Hope you're enjoying a really great weekend with your family :)

Your cups are all great. I love using different cups, too, but I don't have nearly as many fun cups as you do. Thank you for sharing them.

Great collection and I am almost positive drinking out of a variety makes it taste better, right?
I am down to TWO cups of caffine coffee a day...after being at least 1 pot 1/2 a day....what can I say...I live in Latte'land...home to Starbucks.

I just love these, I have just started to pick up some mugs here and there, I wanted to start with some xmas ones. So last week at the goodwill I found two cute snowman ones..... I wanted to do that to remind me to make the hot chocolate for the kids like Sharon does in the cute cups. But I would love to have a cup of coffee in the morning and have all those that you have to choose from! whoohoo!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Those are wonderful!!! I love all the colors and designs - each one is like a little piece of art. The owl is lovely and the green and orange paisley patterns are charming.

Thanks for letting us peek in your cupboard!

How nifty are those! I am a glass jar junkie, but my collection pales in comparison to the size of your cups!

Our collections say a lot about us. Your cups are fun as what you seem to be!

Thanks for sharing!

Kathi, you've gotta help me out here! Who are you? LOL! Meaning, what's your RMS sign-on name? I see I've been tagged to share my tea cups, but I don't drink tea. I'm a die-hard coffee drinker! Does this mean I should post some pics of my mugs? I don't have any nice ones! LOL! Help me out here woman!
